About Keith’s Hotwheels
HOT WHEELS, BEAUTIFUL BODIES
This Brooksville business is first class all the way.
Is there anything better than cruisin’ down the road in a totally restored, top-performing set of wheels? Got your own wheels already? Wanna buy some? Check out Brooksville’s “Hot Wheels” where your beloved car, truck or motorcycle can receive some real TLC, increase its performance, and come home looking like new again. Or examine the “for sale” restored rides that are just itching to get their hot wheels back on the cool road again.
At Hot Wheels Paint, Body and Lube, owner Keith Hancock has been around the engine block a time or two. For the past twenty-one years his life has been all about body work. From antique cars to collision repair, “Hot Wheels” will restore your two- or four-wheeled chariot back to its original charm. But the “Hot Wheels” experience extends beyond complete restorations and collision work (they are insurance-approved) to custom painting, a 10-minute quick lube, transmission flushes, nitrogen for tires, induction service, power steering flushes, used car sales, and a customer-focused service department that maintains a collaborative relationship with related local services including window tinting, upholstery, and detailing.
Their website boasts of Friendly, Personal, Attentive, Professional Service. They answer the telephone with a warm and welcoming manner that puts you at ease and lets you rejoice in the fact that a human, not a machine, is taking your call. In person, the story is the same.
Remember our motto: “Drove my car 3,000 miles and the oil’s gettin’ icky – think it’s time to drive into Keith’s Hot Wheels for a quickie.”
Keith genuinely enjoys running the Hot Wheels daily operations. And if you need an estimate on collision work, just come on in. He stands behind all Hot Wheels estimates and workmanship 100%.
When it comes to customer service and quality, they couldn’t be more serious. Keith insists on using only top-quality paint. His years of experience have convinced him that “good materials last” and he “won’t use the cheap stuff.” Mind you, painting is dangerous business. Keith and his employees always wear a respirator when painting vehicles. There are other health hazards too, especially when working with fiberglass – and let’s not forget lead poisoning. Keith takes it all in stride, confident of his business’ safety standards and knowing it goes with the territory. This man is passionate about bodywork!
At Hot Wheels you don’t need an appointment. Just walk in. Keith or any one of his and his dedicated crew of professional trade experts will tell you how long the work will take. They recommend you bring your vehicle in on a Monday morning as their weekly schedule fills-up quickly. For the most part it’s “First Come, First Served,” but don’t worry, they work with folk who have emergencies and need a job done urgently.
The Quick Lube stays open until 4 pm Monday through Friday. They prefer to use Castrol motor oil, again wanting on only the best quality materials for their customers. They offer special oil change discounts for Seniors (Tuesdays), Ladies (Wednesdays) and Military Personnel (Thursdays). The lube business services many Fleet Accounts including the Florida Highway Patrol, several pest control companies, funeral homes, tree services, and others. Companies have their vehicles serviced on a regular basis with standardized monthly billing. They are working to expand this “win-win” opportunity to more fleet businesses.
Keith is always looking to do more for their customers and to give back to the community. Among the many charitable community events Keith had a role in was a Saturday Car Show in Brooksville. Using the occasion of the Red Mule Pub’s 31st Anniversary and Keith’s Hot Wheel’s 21st Anniversary, Keith coordinated this day-long event that raised over $1,350 for Pasco-Hernando Hospice. They received door prize and auction item donations from many local businesses, and free advertising from Oldies 106.3 radio. Keith was enthusiastic and grateful for all the generous and caring Hernando County businesses who, despite these difficult economic times, donated items to support the hospice program. Keith has friends who work in hospice facilities. The car show was rewarding both in being able to give back to their community, and in showing appreciation for the good works done by hospice.
Keith stresses the importance of the Transmission Flush, saying that many people don’t take it seriously until it’s too late and the damage is done. They recommend having your transmission flushed out periodically to get longer life and better performance from your vehicle.
Here’s a fun tip: Visit their snazzy website. Besides a comprehensive overview of their services, there’s a cool “Hemi” tab where you can listen to the invigorating sounds of such classic hits as the “1969 Dodge Daytona K&K Insurance” or the “Gary Scelzi Hemi Dodge Stratus Funny Car,” among others. Don’t miss it – with all the sounds and animation, this virtual visit will delight car enthusiasts and those of us who appreciate web work well done.
